"Why Bother?" is a set of resources and sessions to help you discuss political engagement with your young people, and to reflect on this in the light of Catholic Social Teaching.
The resources have been developed by the livesimply youth network, and explore different issues of justice, and how they relate to political decision-making. Included in the set are a session using Hip-Hop to explore 'political protest', and an activity to simulate global discussions about climate change.
The resources are very carefully balanced to be neutral in political outlook, but - combined with the upcoming election - offer a great chance for you to explore the relationship between faith and politics.
